Principle-Based Learning

Infused into the entire curriculum at AFU are the 13 Principles of Prosperity identified by AFU founder Claud R. Koerber. As Koerber began studying early American history following what he considered a very humiliating financial failure with the dot-com industry in 2000, which included accumulating almost $1 million of debt and filing for federal bankruptcy protection, Koerber began to identify a pattern in what the Founders themselves referred to as the “ancient principles”—principles that formed the foundation of success underlying the American Revolution.
Motivated by a desire to pay back all of his investors and creditors, despite having no legal obligation to do so, and utilizing what he calls the “Founders’ Formula,” Mr. Koerber re-entered the business world—paying back all debts, plus interest. In less than five years he had developed into a successful multimillionaire with a reputation for financial integrity, historical insight and philosophical depth, all of which Koerber directly attributes to the “divine hand of Providence” and the path “made possible by learning and applying the ancient principles of prosperity found in the scriptural and historical records of the world’s greatest civilizations.” At AFU these principles are taught as “the key to a prosperous life.”
Day-to-Day Application of Principle
Focused on challenging men and women to put into daily practice the principle-based curriculum taught in all AFU classes and programs, American Founders University developed a unique, one-of-a-kind academic system found nowhere else in the education marketplace. With its innovative and revolutionary educational model, American Founders University moves beyond traditional education and modern (online/distance learning) education by equipping its students with necessary tools to actively apply their AFU learning to real life opportunities. The majority of classes offered are structured in live in-person 1-day Intensive Workshops where students receive instruction from outstanding instructors successfully proven and experienced in each respective course of study. Following these 1-day Intense Workshops are 90 days of Student Advisor support and distance learning course materials provided over the Internet.
